School Mission

The mission of South Meadows is to engage all learners in an authentic and relevant way so as to ensure a positive, successful middle school experience and prepare each student for the challenges of high school.

Dear South Meadows Students and Families,

Welcome to South Meadows Middle School! It is an exciting time for your students as they enter into the middle years. This is a time of self- discovery, extended learning and preparation for high school and beyond. Our staff takes pride in their work with students and they also work to ensure that students, too, take PRIDE in all they accomplish. At SMMS this is what PRIDE means to us:

These words represent what we are about and what we expect from all who teach and learn here.

The next two years are critical years for your student and although your child may seem more independent, he or she still needs your constant support. I encourage you to become a part of the life of middle school!

There are many ways you can be involved. Return to our website regularly for volunteering opportunities and how you can contribute to the success of your child’s middle school experience.

Finally, when you receive a student handbook, please review the critical information with your child. Students will also review this information through advisory lessons.
